WELCOME THE MORNING and get into the body with this energizing morning flow. This "all-levels" class will incorporate breathing exercises (pranayama) as well as a variety of balancing and stretching poses to build heat, strength, and flexibility in the body.
This class will often link each breath with movement to elevate the heart rate. Alternative poses and modifications will be offered throughout class so students are able to work at a level that suits their needs.
Students will also learn simple techniques they can incorporate throughout the day to alleviate stress and physical discomfort. In addition to the well-documented physical benefits of regular exercise, a regular yoga practice has also been shown to reduce cortisol levels in the body, alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression and improve overall sleep.
Dress for moderate exercise in comfortable athletic wear. Be prepared to sweat.
