Top 6 Tips for a More Relaxing Holiday

1. TAKE A BREATH

Start each day by taking a DEEP BREATH. If stressed or feeling overwhelmed then take 60-second breathing breaks. 4 seconds in 6-7 seconds out.

2. BE REALISTIC

We paint unrealistic pictures which leads to unnecessary stress and disappointment when we fall short of our goals or expectations.

3. LEARN TO SAY NO

People will pull you this way and that way. Say Yes to those things that excite you and NO to the things you can’t or don’t want to do. I promise if you do less you will enjoy MORE!

4.  STICK TO A BUDGET

It’s easy to get excited and overgive. So instead give your time, friendship, companionship, outings, or group activities (the world has enough STUFF. Give experiences – they often cost less and are MORE fun!

5.  DON’T ABANDON HEALTHY HABITS

When we eat horribly and overdo it, we FEEL IT. Not only does overindulging make us feel guilty but we feel weak, rundown, and drained. Try to taste things rather than eat a lot of things.

  • The first few bites are where all the flavor is…
  • For every alcoholic drink you have, drink 2-3 glasses of water. Follow these simple steps and come January you will still love and respect yourself!

6.  REMEMBER YOU ARE A GIFT

To this world so treat yourself that way by taking TIME OUT FOR YOU!! We are here and will be OPEN to help!!
